CrediSIS is a financial services system built around a cooperative credit model in Brazil's North region. It originated in the early 2000s when four cooperatives in Rondônia recognized local economic and social realities, establishing the first and only two-tier cooperative credit system in the North. The network relies on mutual aid and intercooperation, with cooperatives and their members participating in decisions that prioritize proximity and people-centered governance. The system comprises fourteen affiliated cooperatives, about 100,000 members, and eighty-one service points across seven states, with authorization to operate in four additional states. 
The CrediSIS Central, based in Ji-Paraná, coordinates strategy, standardizes processes, strengthens the brand, and provides support to member cooperatives to promote efficient resource use and sustainable growth across the system. Its governance is grounded in coordinating diverse cooperatives to address regional needs while maintaining close ties to communities in both rural and urban settings.
