Corn Belt Energy Corporation is a not-for-profit, member-owned electric cooperative based in Bloomington, Illinois. Founded in 1938 to extend electricity to rural residents, the co-op now serves more than 35,000 homes and businesses across 18 counties in Central Illinois, maintaining over 5,000 miles of distribution lines. Its power is supplied by Wabash Valley Power Association, and it also supplies natural gas to Nicor Gas customers in Illinois through the Customer Select program. The cooperative is governed by 13 residential directors who represent different districts within its service area.

As Illinois' largest not-for-profit electric cooperative, Corn Belt Energy focuses on reliability and affordability of power while prioritizing energy efficiency and safety education for its members. It serves a population that includes rural heritage as well as urban, suburban, and commercial accounts in Bloomington-Normal and other communities, and it participates in industry associations such as AIEC, NRECA, and Touchstone Energy. A recent development in 2022 was a partnership with Wabash Valley Power Association to support economic development and community growth in the Bloomington-Normal area.
