Contra Costa County Office Of Education (CCCOE) is a county‑level public education administration organization based in Pleasant Hill, California. Established in 1932, it serves Contra Costa County within California’s system of county offices of education and supports the county’s public school system. The county has a large public‑school student population—about 169,394 students—and CCCOE has long provided direct services to some of the area’s most vulnerable learners, including youth who are incarcerated, those experiencing homelessness, and students in foster care or facing significant physical or emotional challenges.

In addition to direct student services, CCCOE coordinates regional support for the county’s schools and districts to operate more efficiently as a group rather than through each school individually. Its work covers budgeting and fiscal oversight, technology infrastructure, communications support, and high‑level professional development for educators across Contra Costa’s 287 schools and 18 districts. The office maintains a public presence at cocoschools.org.
