Consumer Directed Choices (CDChoices) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering older adults and people with disabilities to live independently in their own homes and communities. Founded and led by people with disabilities and their families, CDChoices was built on the belief that individuals should have the power to direct their own care.

Today, CDChoices continues this mission by offering programs under a consumer-directed model, giving individuals and their families greater choice, flexibility, and control over the care they receive. Our services include the Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program (EISEP), Respite care, and Private-Pay home care options. Through these programs, Consumers recruit, hire, train, and supervise their own caregivers, whether they are friends, family, or trusted community members, while CDChoices provides the administrative and payroll support.

By putting decision-making in the hands of the people receiving care, CDChoices ensures that services are truly personalized, cost-effective, and rooted in dignity, independence, and respect.
