Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa is an integrated health system delivering the full spectrum of care, from primary to specialized, intermediate, and mental health services. It serves a population of more than 200,000 residents in the Vallès Occidental region, including the cities of Terrassa, Matadepera, Rubí, Castellbisbal, Sabadell, and Sant Quirze. The governance body, the Consell de Govern, is composed of representatives from the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Ayuntamiento de Terrassa. Since August 2023, it holds the status of a university hospital, reflecting an expanded role in advanced clinical services and education. The organization emphasizes a care model that is high-quality, humane, and participatory, anchored in evidence and oriented toward outcomes for patients. Its mission, established in 1988, is to care for health and well-being and to support physical and mental health across the lifespan. A recent development is a collaboration with Suara Cooperativa to advance research and innovation in elder care, including integrating the Cirerers Day Care Center into the Cognitio study with CST and Broomx.
