The Connecticut State Golf Association (CSGA) serves as the governing body for amateur golf in Connecticut and is affiliated with the USGA as an Allied Golf Association. It administers handicaps for more than 40,000 members across 181 member clubs and conducts more than 85 days of competition annually for players of all ages, genders, and skill levels. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the CSGA focuses on stewarding the amateur game within the state. Based in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, the organization traces its origins to 1899, making it the oldest state golf association in the United States. Beyond handicap and competition programs, the CSGA supports a network of Connecticut golf groups, including the CT Association of Golf Course Superintendents, CIAC, the CT Section PGA, the CT Women’s Golf Association, and The First Tee of Connecticut. In January 2025, the CSGA participated in the 53rd Julius Boros Challenge Cup, aiming for a seventh consecutive victory.
