The Community Action Program of Evansville (CAPE) is a private nonprofit organization based in Evansville, Indiana. Established in 1965 and incorporated as a nonprofit in 1970, it is governed by a tri-partite board representing private, public, and community interests. CAPE serves residents in Vanderburgh, Posey, and Gibson Counties in southwestern Indiana, offering programs that address early childhood development, housing needs, energy assistance, and financial empowerment.

The organization runs Head Start and Early Head Start, Weatherization, child care, homeless housing services, Foster Grandparents, and the state's Energy Assistance Program, along with tutoring at the Learning Center for reading, math, computer skills, and GED preparation. It administers the Individual Development Accounts program, which provides a 3-to-1 savings match to support homeownership, small business start-ups, or continued education, plus homeownership counseling, down payment assistance, and financial literacy classes. In 2020 CAPE partnered with the Community Foundation Alliance, Inc. and other regional partners to implement programs across Gibson County, illustrating collaboration with local foundations to extend services.
