The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance is a nonprofit coalition that brings together local, state, provincial or territorial, and federal safety officials with industry representatives involved in commercial motor vehicle operations. Based in Washington, D.C., CVSA operates within the truck transportation sector. Its aim is to reduce crashes, injuries and fatalities involving commercial motor vehicles by fostering collaboration between government and industry to improve road safety. The member network includes roughly 13,000 enforcement officials and seeks uniformity, compatibility and reciprocity of inspections across Canada, Mexico and the United States.

CVSA's mission centers on enhancing safety and enforcement by providing guidance, education and advocacy for both enforcement personnel and the transportation industry across North America. In 2026, the organization announced its participation in Operation Safe Driver Week, scheduled for July 12–18.
