Columbia College Hollywood is a regionally-accredited, nonprofit liberal arts college with campuses in Los Angeles and Chicago. Based in the Los Angeles area, it serves students pursuing film, television, and digital arts by teaching the art and science of communications and diverse media within a liberal arts framework. Its programs emphasize hands-on, project-based learning that mirrors the entertainment industry and relies on teams to deliver creative outcomes. The college fosters an intimate educational environment intended to support the development of an individual artistic voice and to prepare graduates as analytical thinkers and effective communicators who contribute to a global community. In February 2024, Columbia College Hollywood partnered with the Firework Foundation to offer a two-Saturday program in which Los Angeles-area high school students created short film scenes alongside faculty from Arizona State University's Sidney Poitier New American Film School.
