The Colorado Lawyers Committee is a nonprofit, nonpartisan consortium of more than 75 Colorado law firms that coordinates legal advocacy to create and expand opportunities for children, the poor, and other disadvantaged communities. The organization relies on a large volunteer base, with more than 900 lawyers contributing to 25 projects. Founded in 1978 and based in Denver, Colorado, it operates as a small, collaborative body within the public policy and legal services arena. Positioned in the public policy and legal advocacy space, the committee collaborates with its member firms and volunteers to advance justice and equity for underserved communities in Colorado, and it welcomes new volunteers. It occasionally hosts public events, including an annual Awards Luncheon to recognize leaders advancing these efforts.
