Coalition members represent varied interests and political persuasions, but share a common passion for government transparency. The CFOIC empowers Colorado residents by helping them obtain the information they need to participate in the democratic process.The Coalition raises public awareness of open-government issues via its blog and social media, and it regularly assists journalists and citizens in their everyday battles for access to public information. The CFOIC's hotline is backed by the state's leading media-law attorneys, who also serve on the nonprofit's board.
