Collegiate School is a day school for boys in New York City, New York, offering private independent education. It is the oldest independent school in the United States, with origins dating to 1628 when it was established to serve the colonists of New Amsterdam. The institution has evolved through city growth, adopting a modern all-boys college-preparatory program and relocating to its current campus at 301 Freedom Place South in 2018. Incorporated as a non-profit in 1940, Collegiate operates independently of church governance while maintaining a historic association with the Collegiate Churches and offering a non-denominational environment. In 2024, the school named Bodie Brizendine as its leader, succeeding David Lourie.
