Located in Keshena, Wisconsin, the College of Menominee Nation is a mid-sized higher education institution focused on American Indian culture. Enrollment is open to all, with more than 600 students pursuing two- or four-year programs. Its degree programs, research, and student activities are designed to address contemporary problems by combining modern scientific methods with ancient knowledge, notably in sustainable development drawn from the Menominee forest's resource management traditions.

Native and non-native students and visitors from around the world come to CMN to pursue higher learning and to learn about the history, systems, and strategies of the Menominee and other First Americans. The college sits within the higher education landscape, integrating Indigenous perspectives with contemporary scholarship. In 2026, CMN partnered with Indigenous Advise, LLC to establish the Next-Gen Mini-Grant Program, which supports community-driven projects advancing food sovereignty and Tribal capacity across Wisconsin.
