For 50 years, Coastside Hope has been a trusted lifeline for the Bay Area’s Coastside community, serving the working poor, immigrants, fixed-income seniors, the fallen middle class, the homeless, and families in crisis. We are a designated core safety net service agency by the County of San Mateo to the residents of the County’s mid-coast communities, including Half Moon Bay, El Granada, Moss Beach, and Montara. As neighbors helping neighbors, we firmly believe the overall health of a community is measured by how it treats its most vulnerable and the opportunity to thrive must be equitable for all. Our mission is to enhance quality of life for all our neighbors and strengthen the well-being of our entire community by turning the Necessities for Today into the Opportunities for Tomorrow. With Necessities for Today, we provide essential support for our neighbors to build stability and security with food, clothing, and housing assistance. With Opportunities for Tomorrow, we provide programs to improve our neighbor’s quality of life through empowerment and self-sufficiency. Coastside Hope assists 1 in 4 of our mid-coast residents, improving the lives of over 7,000 individuals representing 2,300 households and families. All services are provided on a non-discriminatory basis without regard to race, creed, color, orientation, marital status, veteran status, national origin, age or disability. Coastside Hope is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit; our federal tax ID is 51-0199747.
