Clos LaChance Vineyards is a California winery in San Martin that produces wines from estate vineyards and operates within the beverage manufacturing sector. The venture began in 1987 when the founders planted Chardonnay in a Saratoga backyard, later evolving into a commercial winery with its first wines released from the 1992 vintage. To secure a steady supply of fruit, the founders established CK Vines in 1996, a vineyard maintenance and installation company. The winery opened its production facility in 2001 and established a Hospitality Center with a tasting room and event spaces in 2002, located near CordeValle Resort & Golf Course’s 6th hole. It operates 150 acres of estate vineyards planted to a diverse mix of varietals suited to the local climate, with programs that include various tastings, tours of the cellar and demonstration vineyard, and special events for visitors.
