Clinical Directors Network, Inc. (CDN) is a not-for-profit, clinician-led organization that functions as a practice-based research network, a professional membership group for clinicians, and a training entity. Its work centers on peer-initiated activities within primary care settings serving low-income, minority, and other underserved communities, with the aim of translating clinical research into practice to improve health equity and public health outcomes. The organization collaborates with government, academic, not-for-profit, and for-profit partners on project-based research and educational initiatives, operating as a private corporation by and for a broad network of health center clinical leaders. Based in New York, CDN was founded in 1985 to support community-based health care centers and their patients, practitioners, and related organizations in delivering high-quality care and advancing social justice for underserved populations. A recent collaboration highlighted in its activities includes a partnership with Memorial Sloan K. Center for Cancer Center to develop an online CME-accredited program focused on AL amyloidosis awareness and care pathways for NYC patients.
