Climate Cycle is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization founded in 2008 that focuses on environmental education and youth leadership in sustainability. Operating within the renewable energy and environmental education space, it engages K-12 students through events and school presentations to raise awareness about climate science and practical sustainability initiatives. Its programs include large-scale community rides to fund green schools projects, such as solar installations and classroom-based, hands-on green initiatives, as well as pedal-powered and other student-led projects that support energy efficiency and waste reduction. The organization targets students, educators, and communities in the Chicagoland area, aiming to inspire action and demonstrate tangible ways schools can integrate renewable energy and sustainability into their curricula and daily operations. Climate Cycle operates with very limited staff, focusing on program delivery and community engagement from its Chicago locale.
