The Claude Moore Colonial Farm was a living history museum and resource center located in the McLean area of Virginia. It operated as a publicly supported nonprofit managed by The Friends of Claude Moore Colonial Farm at Turkey Run Inc, under a cooperative agreement with the National Park Service. The open-air site opened in 1972 and closed permanently in 2018, with its mission centered on conveying 18th-century agriculture and tenant living in 1771 Virginia. As a public-facing cultural institution, it aimed to educate visitors about colonial-era farming practices and tenancy in Virginia. The organization was small, with only a handful of staff, and maintained an online presence via a Facebook page rather than a conventional corporate website.
