Clarksdale Collegiate Public Charter School is a kindergarten through eighth grade public charter school based in Clarksdale, in the Mississippi Delta. It was planned to open in fall 2018 with 150 students in kindergarten through second grade and to add one grade level each year to eventually serve all grades from kindergarten through eighth grade. The school serves students from Clarksdale, Coahoma County, and neighboring counties in the Delta region. The program centers on preparing students for high school and college through a college-ready curriculum, regular assessments, and instruction guided by data. Literacy development is framed as foundational to academic success, with an emphasis on reading, writing, and speaking at or above grade level, along with values-based character education. Efforts are targeted toward increasing time on core subjects, providing daily interventions, and engaging families to support student achievement.
