During the early stages of recovery from my spinal cord injury, it became my mission to help others find the confidence to be fearless in their skin. And when I changed inside, I wanted to change outside…so my father and I started formulating products that would eventually become Clark’s Botanicals. After my injury, I lost the ability to sweat and for my skin to regulate and balance in the ways that most people are used to, leaving it congested and gray. Together with my father, we created the very first (and still best-selling) Clark’s Botanicals product—Smoothing Marine Cream—with what would become a fundamental ingredient in every formula, Jasmine Absolute. Because I have the most demanding skin on earth, our products have a higher bar to get over. If it can work for me, I know it will for you, too.
 

Every ingredient we use in a formulation is pushed past its limits by a combination of science and nature. When I am creating a product, I look at what the known properties of an ingredient are and then figure out how I can make them do even more for your skin. They are truly radical botanicals—with scientifically-proven results. They are efficacious but will never include toxins like formaldehyde, parabens, or sulfates. And we never test on animals or use any animal byproducts.
