Clallam Conservation District is a small environmental services organization based in Port Angeles, on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. It conducts conservation and natural-resource management work aimed at sustaining local ecosystems, collaborating with communities and agencies to address watershed-related challenges. The organization operates with a compact team and concentrates its efforts in its service area. Recent activity includes collaboration with partners to develop a PIC plan intended to restore shellfish growing areas within the Sequim-Dungeness Clean Water District. In 2021 it was honored with the WACD Tribal Partnership Award, the second time the district has received this recognition, underscoring ongoing tribal partnerships. These efforts illustrate the district’s role in regional habitat restoration and cross-sector collaboration within the environmental services landscape.
