Civic Consulting Alliance is a nonpartisan nonprofit that brings together dedicated staff and pro bono expertise from the business community to help government and civic leaders take on the Chicago region’s most pressing challenges. For nearly 40 years, we’ve served as a cornerstone of the civic ecosystem, enabling leaders to deliver systems-level solutions that create a more vibrant, equitable, and prosperous region for all.

In the past five years, Civic Consulting Alliance has provided an average of $20 million in high-impact pro bono consulting services annually. We align public, private, and social sector efforts around shared goals, providing the capacity, insights, and strategic support needed to move ideas into action. Our mission is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: when cross-sector partners work together, we can get big things done for the region and its people.

We organize our work into four interconnected focus areas that are critical to improving quality of life: Economic Vitality, Education, Health, Safety & Justice. Our work is designed to address root causes, scale sustainable solutions, and build the capacity of civic institutions to respond to complex challenges. Our project teams comprise in-house experts and pro bono consultants from leading firms, who deliver results in areas such as strategy, implementation, process improvement, and organizational design.
