The City of Sedro-Woolley is a municipal government serving a community in northwest Washington. Located on Highway 20 beside the Skagit River and at the western edge of the Cascade Mountain Range, the city is commonly described as the gateway to the North Cascades. It lies north of Seattle and south of Bellingham, placing it within Skagit County and supporting a small-to-mid-sized municipal workforce. In May 2024, the Port of Skagit partnered with Sedro-Woolley and other entities to develop a vision for a mixed-use campus on a property, combining education, research, manufacturing, hospitality and commercial facilities while preserving historic public spaces. This collaboration underscores the city's involvement in regional development and its role in coordinating public services and infrastructure for residents and neighboring jurisdictions.
