Citibox operates as a platform in the transportation, logistics, supply chain and storage sector, connecting package recipients with carriers through a network of smart parcel infrastructure installed in buildings. Its system enables delivery to recipients even when they are not at home, reducing the incidence of failed deliveries. The company describes itself as not a traditional box or locker, but a universal, scalable technology platform. Citibox is headquartered in Madrid, Spain, at 39 Calle de San Germán, Community of Madrid 28020, and employs between 51 and 200 people. The business model targets savings for carriers by delivering all packages on the first attempt to a single point of delivery inside buildings, and it cites a daily reduction in CO2 emissions of 5.5 tons. Recent news reports indicate substantial financing rounds in 2024 and 2026, with investments aimed at expanding its smart mailbox network across Spain and Europe.
