From a leather studio on Haight Street, founded in 1967, Circa grew into a 100,000 square foot modern facility in the The Bayview. The domestic factory was home to the most current and innovative machinery, and our client relationships were longstanding, with best-in-class service. Private Equity acquired majority ownership in 2016, and drove this vibrant business into bankruptcy by 2020, disregarding the cost to employees, vendors, and clients along the way. A few of the long-time team members are working to bring a new, brand-focused design and manufacturing service to the market with an updated business model.
