The Chronic Disease Research Group (CDRG) conducts observational epidemiology and health services research, and manages and analyzes administrative and clinical trial data, including post-approval outcomes and safety studies that use real-world data sources. It concentrates on chronic diseases and related issues affecting patients, such as anemia, mineral-bone disorders, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, chronic kidney disease, end-stage renal disease, and organ transplantation. CDRG is the largest division of the Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation, the research arm of Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Its clinician-guided teams combine expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, project management, and data management to support research partnerships. The organization collaborates with pharmaceutical, biotechnology and other medical technology sponsors, health plans, providers, universities, and government agencies to understand how health care and policies influence patient outcomes, safety, and costs.
