Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is a small, Colorado Springs-based zoological facility operating in the spectator sports sector, providing public access to animal exhibits and related guest experiences. It is home to the International Center for the Care and Conservation of Giraffe, established in 2022. As part of its Centennial Celebration, the zoo announced investments including a new giraffe exhibit, an entry refresh, a new gift shop and café, and improvements to accessibility. The organization collaborates with veterinary and veterinary-specialist partners to support animal care and medical procedures. In 2026, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo was recognized as a leading zoo, ranking second for best zoo in the United States according to USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. The zoo is expanding its giraffe facilities with a planned 12,000-square-foot giraffe barn and expanded yard, with the Giraffe Center expected to open later in the summer.
