The Charlotte Harbor National Estuary Program (CHNEP) is an environmental services partnership based in Punta Gorda, Florida, focused on protecting the natural environment of southwest Florida. It aims to implement the comprehensive conservation management plan (CCMP) by engaging local citizens, scientists, elected officials, resource managers and resource users across a 4,700-square-mile watershed.
