A veteran with a divinity education, Bruce Sams has called Dallas-Fort Worth home since 1980, bringing dedication and integrity to the agency.

Wood-Wilson Co. was established in April 1982, building a strong reputation for personalized service and insurance expertise. Bruce Klingman joined Wood-Wilson in 1990, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the retail and wholesale insurance sectors, including four years with Marsh, Inc. Raised in Dallas and a graduate of Vanderbilt University, Bruce Klingman represents the fourth consecutive generation of his family to work in the Dallas insurance industry—a proud tradition he continues to uphold.

On April 1, 2023, Champion Commercial Insurance and Wood-Wilson Co. merged to strengthen their commitment to independence and exceptional service. Unlike many agencies acquired by private equity firms, Champion remains truly independent, ensuring stability for clients and employees. This dedication is reflected in the involvement of the next generation, with both founders’ children actively contributing to the agency’s legacy of trusted, personalized insurance solutions.
