Central School District serves approximately 5,200 students in grades K-8. Our district consists of five elementary schools, one 5-8 middle school, and one 6-8 middle school. Central School District is located in the City of Rancho Cucamonga which is nestled in the foothills of the Los Angeles/San Bernardino basin. It is roughly halfway between those two cities and approximately 120 miles north of San Diego. Rancho Cucamonga covers 36.6 square miles at altitudes of 1050 to 2400 feet. The surrounding communities are Ontario, Fontana, and Upland to the south, east and west respectively. To the north rises majestic Cucamonga Peak and Mt. Baldy at nearly 9000 feet high surrounded by the Cucamonga Wilderness Area of the San Gabriel Mountains. This breathtaking panorama creates a dramatic backdrop for one of Southern California's fastest growing, most energetic and historically rich cities.
