Center for Schools and Communities (CSC) is a division of the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit, a public education service agency based in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Established in 1988, CSC supports improvements in outcomes for children and families through training, technical assistance, program evaluation, research and resource development. Its work centers on prevention and intervention initiatives led by schools, organizations and agencies serving children, youth and families, and it collaborates with state agencies, federal programs, private foundations, universities and community organizations to foster innovative programs in schools and communities. CSC focuses on a range of areas, including afterschool programs, bullying prevention, environmental education, equity and social justice, family-school-community partnerships, school safety, family strengthening, social-emotional learning, and STEM and youth development. CSC's services are designed to increase organizational capacity through tailored consultation and training, resource provision, and support for program and policy review, evaluation and planning. The center serves schools, organizations and agencies that work with children, youth and families, drawing on staff with diverse backgrounds in education, human services and community development to deliver customized solutions.
