Provide quality youth leadership and service experiences that connect generations, cultures and communities. Founded in 1982, CMC has redefined its enrichment programs in the 21st Century to use participatory media as a teaching and communication tool to encourage youth civic engagement and empowerment. * Through CMC intergenerational digital storytelling initiatives, young people assist community elders in the creation of short multimedia videos highlighting community history and the contributions of local heroes to community, culture, and country * Through CMC public voice initiatives, young people are trained in social media skills to: identify issues in their community; create media expressing their perspectives; and foster online dialogue to share their perspectives and create dialogue with others. * Through community enterprise initiatives, young people assist public sector organizations in the development and application of digital media solutions, training in the latest social media tools and learning business and technical skills while being compensated for their efforts. * Through civic engagement initiatives, young people are identifying, discussing, and solving problems in their communities.
