Centennial Fire District is a public safety organization serving the communities of Circle Pines and Centerville in Minnesota, with a presence just north of the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro area along major thoroughfares. The district operates as a paid-on-call volunteer department, combining volunteer participation with a streamlined staffing model to provide firefighting, first aid, rescue, and emergency response services to residents and businesses in its service area. Funding comes from property taxes in Circle Pines and Centerville, supplemented by a state rebate for fire insurance premiums that supports firefighter pensions. The district has a long-standing history, formed in 1985 through a joint powers agreement of the constituent cities, and has developed multiple fire stations over the years to serve the evolving needs of the communities, achieving a PPC/ISO rating of 3/3X in 2018. In its operations, the district responds to hundreds of alarms annually, addressing a range of incidents from medical emergencies to gas leaks and carbon monoxide alerts.
