Carolinas AGC serves as a regional conduit connecting general, specialty, utility, and highway contractors, along with suppliers and service providers, across the commercial construction industry in the Carolinas. It operates as a chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America and the American Road and Transportation Builders Association, linking local firms to national networks. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, the organization has represented the industry since 1922 and serves more than 1,000 contractors and construction-related firms. The association maintains governance through thirty volunteer-led committees and five divisions that encompass building, utility, highway, and specialty contracting and supplier roles, enabling members to influence industry direction. Its CAGC Foundation supports education and workforce development for the Carolinas' construction sector, and in May 2026 the group partnered with iSqFt.
