Located just 56 miles from New York City, Carmel Central School District provides a high quality education for students within
a pristine rural setting. The District encompasses 85 square miles and serves students from six towns located in two counties (Putnam and Dutchess). Our schools provide students with the necessary tools for learning, as well as a variety of educational opportunities as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Every member of the school community from the Board of Education, to administration, to staff, parents, and community members work together to provide a continuously supportive setting for our students to reach their highest potential.

The District offers students the unique combination of a productive learning environment and a diverse curriculum. Strong accelerated opportunities as well as early intervention programs provide the personal attention students need for academic success.
