Cape Cod Children’s Place is a non-profit resource, referral, and education center committed to providing high-quality care, support, and advocacy for families with young children in order to sustain a healthy community for Cape Cod’s future. Our Services Early Education and Care - Our early learning center in Eastham cares for children aged 2 months old to 5 years old. Outer and Lower Cape families benefit from our high quality, affordable, year-round care. Family Support - Parenting can be tough, but it doesn’t have to be lonely. Call us for one-on-one support or join us for free playgroups, support groups, parent education programs, and community events. We also provide peer support for parents on a recovery journey from Bourne to Provincetown. Community Engagement - Cape Cod Children’s Place believes healthy families build strong communities. We partner with schools, libraries, businesses and agencies to strengthen our collective ability to support families and build a healthier community. Strength Based Approach to Programs Strengthening Families is a research-informed approach to increase family strengths, enhance child development and reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect. It is based on engaging families, programs and communities in building five protective factors: -Parental resilience -Social connections -Knowledge of parenting and child development -Concrete support in times of need -Social and emotional competence of children We focus on recognizing existing and building strengths of families, which offers a positive starting point for families. We create a strong partnership with families and support the family’s role in promoting their children’s development.
