California FarmLink is a Community Development Financial Institution based in Aptos, California. Founded in 1999, it stands among the early CDFIs focused on sustainable and organic agriculture and on strengthening economic and environmental resilience. Operating across California, it prioritizes farmers of color, beginning and sustainable farmers, and family-scale fishers, and provides fair financing, business education, and support for owning or managing agricultural land. Its work is guided by three core principles: wealth building, business resilience, and equity and conservation on working lands. The organization emphasizes equitable access to opportunity, resilient working landscapes, fairness, and learning from diverse farmers. It collaborates with educational programs, business advisors, impact investors, public agencies, and other nonprofits to weave an ecosystem of support for the businesses it serves, aiming to contribute to healthier local food systems and living-wage jobs.
