The Calgary Downtown Association is a civic and social organization based in Calgary, Alberta, that represents about 3,000 downtown businesses. It advocates for and activates a 120-block area encompassing more than 50 million square feet of office, hotel, retail, and other facilities. As Calgary’s oldest Business Improvement Area, it has shaped downtown Calgary for more than 30 years, working to improve public and commercial spaces and to support the area’s economic vitality through collaboration with the City of Calgary. The association’s work centres on Calgary’s core, with benefits extending to residents and visitors who use the district’s businesses and attractions. In July 2023, CBC reported plans to launch a bike valet service and a pilot program to run from late July through October, indicating activity to expand district amenities.
