Business Access, based in Dallas, Texas, operates in the IT services and consulting space as a woman-owned firm. Since 1999, it has worked to close the digital divide for disadvantaged populations through its patented In-Home Learning System. The system combines in-home computers with filtered internet access, online learning with customized curriculums, mentoring and tech support, and computer ownership upon graduation, along with automated workflow and reporting.

The company has implemented more than 230 digital divide programs with 93 community partners across 18 states, addressing needs ranging from welfare-to-work transitions to education for at-risk youth and programs for people with disabilities and formerly incarcerated women, including colonias along the US border. Independent studies from universities, foundations, and government agencies have documented outcomes such as 84% of participants leaving TANF and working within up to seven years, 89% employed one year after program exit, 94% job retention after one year, 78% reduction in recidivism, and 84% of long-term unemployed obtaining employment.
