Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village is a small cultural organization and museum located on a 35-acre campus in Buffalo, New York. Its Historic Village features ten 19th-century buildings that were moved to the site to prevent demolition, and they have been restored to reflect life in the region during that era. The indoor museum presents rotating exhibits alongside the Niederlander Research Library and a collection of more than 40,000 artifacts. Since 2020, the organization has oriented its work toward highlighting Western New York's agricultural and rural heritage through hands-on, multisensory experiences across the village, a working farmstead, and its exhibits and collections. A core focus is maker culture—the people, processes, and purposes behind things made in rural and agricultural settings—and is conveyed through costumed interpretation, programs, and access to artifacts and historic resources. In September 2024, reports indicated BNHV expanded its offices to Amherst, New York, though the organization did not relocate to the proposed Amherst Central Park site.
