Bricoleur Vineyards is a family-owned winery in Windsor, California, located in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley just south of Healdsburg. The Hanson family founded the estate, which released its first vintage in 2017 and opened its tasting room in 2020. The name reflects a hands-on, improvisational approach to building something from pieces, a concept that informs both its wines and culinary program. The winery produces two families of wines, Bricoleur and Flying by the Seat of Our Pants, under the direction of winemaker Cary Gott and assistant winemaker Tom Pierson. Culinary partners—Chef Charlie Palmer and Executive Chef Thomas Bellec—offer pairing-driven experiences, including a six-course Rooted tasting that changes seasonally and draws on the estate’s garden. Guests visit by appointment, with the tasting room open Thursday through Monday. The operation emphasizes food-driven wine experiences and maintains sustainable farming practices in its garden. In addition to hospitality, the estate has pursued leadership changes, such as the promotion of Tom Pierson to winemaker in November 2025, reflecting ongoing development of its winemaking program. Based in Windsor, the winery sits within the broader Sonoma wine landscape and is part of the Hanson family portfolio that also includes Kick Ranch Vineyard in Fountaingrove District.
