Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club is a regional club dedicated to yachting, serving both sail and power interests in midcoast Maine. Based in West Boothbay Harbor, the organization supports maritime recreation by offering rental moorings and fostering a long-standing community with over a century of activity in the area. Its primary audience appears to be boating enthusiasts who seek access to moorings and participation in events that celebrate nautical pursuits regardless of vessel type. Positioned within the higher education industry by designation, BHYC functions as a community institution related to maritime culture and activity, rather than a traditional academic facility. In recent activity, the club participated in the Shipyard Cup Classics Challenge, reflecting engagement in regional yachting events and ongoing involvement in the local seafaring scene.
