Book Soup is a West Hollywood-based retailer that focuses on books and printed news, operating on the Sunset Strip since 1975. It was founded by Glenn Goldman, who described the store as serving a wide cultural audience that includes readers, writers, artists, rock 'n' rollers, and celebrities. In 2022, the shop announced a partnership to offer a limited number of copies signed by Clive Barker, illustrating ongoing engagement with notable authors.

Historical and ownership notes indicate changes around 2009, with reports of acquisitions by different parties. The store has remained active in the local community, exemplified by a 2021 collaboration with West Hollywood organizations for book sales and events, and it continues to operate as a small to mid-sized independent retailer serving a diverse clientele.
