We seek to ensure a future where the region’s distinctive soils, cultural heritage, scenic vistas, natural resources, and farms are preserved for future generations. Thanks to increasing community support, the Conservancy has permanently protected over 33,000 acres.

The first accredited land trust in Kentucky, Bluegrass Land Conservancy spans Kentucky’s two most populated metropolitan areas, covering the very best farmland in the Commonwealth. We are committed to the education and promotion of land conservation for agriculture, historic and cultural heritage, wildlife habitat, natural resources, water quality, and scenic open space, in order to sustain a high quality of life.
