Our Mission: To champion the needs of Californians with bleeding disorders by breaking down barriers to care, expanding treatment access, and strengthening support systems through advocacy, education, and strategic partnerships with our founding organizations, chapters, and the communities we serve. Our Vision: A California where every person with a bleeding disorder has access to comprehensive care, cutting-edge innovation, and a thriving support community that empowers them to live without limits. Our History: The Bleeding Disorders Council of California (BDCC — formerly HCC) was formed in the early 1980s by the four California hemophilia organizations. In 1989, BDCC was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This would help the Council coordinate its shared advocacy agenda to create a more effective and unified voice for individuals living with bleeding disorders in California.
