Black Sands Entertainment is a Columbia, Maryland-based publisher and media company focused on content for African American families, producing books, comics, and related media. It is led by Manuel and Geiszel, authors of award-winning titles, whose work blends educational aims with entertainment and has driven rapid growth in contemporary pop culture. In May 2021 the company launched its digital platforms, including the BSP Comics app and the Black Sands Publishing app, expanding access to its stories.
