A Fond Farewell From Big Delicious Planet.
After 31 incredible years, Big Delicious Planet has officially closed its catering operation. Since 1994, it has been our joy to cook, create, grow food, and celebrate life’s moments. From weddings and events to concerts and everyday gatherings, we are deeply grateful to everyone who trusted us to be part of their stories. To our incredible team, our loyal clients, and our event partners: thank you for helping make Big Delicious Planet such a special company for more than three decades.

BDP was founded in 1994 by Heidi Moorman Coudal as a backstage rock + roll catering company, providing meals and fulfilling those notorious detailed dressing requirements for thousands of rock bands. BDP catered stylish weddings & one of a kind events in the middle of our urban farm, and fed globally inspired cuisine to the world's most recognized brands.

Our urban farm began in 2012 right next to their catering kitchen, and grew to 81 raised beds on three city lots. We organically grew dozens of vegetables, fruits, herbs and edible flowers just 15 feet from our door. 

From 2013-2025 BDP was a 4 Star Certified Green Restaurant and held the title of “Greenest Caterer in America.”
