Simply put, Better Than Unicorns’ packages provide companies, who want to level-up and design their culture, with engaging team building experiences. During our team building events, our trained facilitators provide participants with a first-hand experience for how game mechanics, play, and even failure are powerful teachers. Most often teams come for the VR experience but they gain a new perspective on team dynamics, as well as tools that equip them to effectively reflect and take practical steps.
Beyond our events we keep current clients continuing to grow and design their culture by providing the experiences, tools, and practices that make it possible for individuals inside the corporation to do their own life’s work. Ultimately we demonstrate a culture where everyone feels a higher level of purpose, alignment, and ownership of their work and their company’s mission. We design systems utilizing our founders’ backgrounds, employing tools such as Technology of Participation® Facilitation methods, developed by the ICA, a non-profit organization that focuses on advancing human development worldwide, and leveraging partners such as Delivering Happiness (www.deliveringhappiness.com).
A typical client path begins with a needs assessment from which we embark on an internal design process with the BTU team. We facilitate a team building for the target audience, develop and present a report. And where appropriate continue to evolve the relationship with coaching, and finally consulting to create an intentionally designed culture.
Our team building services are fully capable of traveling to client sites as needed. Additionally, we have our brick & mortar arena where we bring teams when they come to Asheville for retreats and conferences.
