BESSEY Tool GmbH & Co. KG is a German wholesale supplier of building materials with a history spanning more than a century. It was founded in 1889 as a bright steel drawing plant and began producing manual clamping tools in the mid-1930s. The company has a track record of innovation, evidenced by patents in 1936 for a malleable cast iron screw clamp and in 2009 for an optimized all-steel rail profile, and its growth continued with the 1979 takeover of Diener Werkzeugfabrik GmbH, which added a cutting technology unit and Erdi snips. Today it offers around 1,600 products and operates in more than 100 countries, positioning it as one of the largest clamping and cutting tool manufacturers globally. The business is based in Bietigheim-Bissingen in the Baden-Württemberg region, and it is characterized as a mid-sized enterprise serving the wholesale building materials industry.
