Founded in 1968, Berks Career and Technology Center is a mid-sized institution focused on career and technical education for high school students and adults. It operates two campuses in Berks County, Leesport and Oley, each on more than 23 acres, and it serves 16 public school districts and several nonpublic schools under a Joint Operating Committee. The center emphasizes hands-on learning that blends classroom theory with technical applications and off-campus work-based experiences, culminating in nationally recognized industry certifications. Industry engagement is central, with more than 400 advisors reviewing and updating curricula annually to reflect current needs. A planned partnership with Reading Muhlenberg Career and Technology Center is set for December 1, 2026, and both centers participated in the 2026 Decision Day celebrations to recognize graduating students.
